Hilton Hotels & Resorts is the global brand behind the luxurious Hilton Hotels that are found around the world. The company has been around just shy of an entire century with nearly 600 hotels around the world. The headquarters are in McLean, VA. Hilton Hotels, or one of their subsidiary brands, are present in almost every city and town in the United States, as well as in most of the world's vacation destinations, with the target customer being the business traveler or wealthy vacation traveler. They are often in major city centers, located within convention centers, or built near airports. As of 2017, there were over 570 hotels around the world and over 90,000 Hilton employees. Some of the employment opportunities at Hilton are within their hotels, restaurants, and resorts and include dishwashers, guest services, personal concierge services, sales director, account managers, cooks, bartenders, and much more.

The Hilton Hotel brand can be traced back to 1919 when it was started by Conrad Hilton. His first property was in Cisco, Texas, called the Mobley Hotel. However, it was not until 1925 that Hilton named a hotel after himself - one that was in Dallas, Texas, and known as the Dallas Hilton. The Hilton Hotels are featured throughout much of American history and there is even a rumor that the pina colada was invented at a Hilton hotel.

Although Hilton Hotels are headquartered in McLean, VA, and present throughout much of the United States, they are also located around the world in almost all of the major vacation destinations. Hilton is a publicly traded company the reported $3.62 billion in revenue for the 2017 fiscal year with revenue per share at $11.52 and 8.5 quarterly revenue growth. They also had 44.7 percent quarterly earnings growth and a gross profit of $2.18 billion.
