Fluor Corporation is a global engineering and construction firm with headquarters in Irving, Texas, in the United States. They are a holding company that provides services through a number of subsidiaries including areas like industrial, infrastructure, government, power, oil and gas. They are the largest engineering and construction company on the fortune 500 list and are listed as the 153rd company overall. The company introduced new services in the 1990s like equipment rentals. They also participated the nuclear waste cleanups and other environmental work. As of 2017, they had approximately 56,700 employees and some of the open positions include painters, general superintendents, project managers, mechanical installers, construction engineers, structural iron workers, crafts superintendents and millwrights.

The company began as Rudolph Fluor and brother in 1890. The organization was founded by Rudolph and John Simon Fluor, and it was originally a saw and paper mill. However, the company became Fluor Brothers construction in 1903. In 1912, they moved operations to California from Wisconsin, and by 1924, they had in no revenues exceeding more than $100,000 a year. That would’ve been more than $1 million a year in today’s money. As the company grew, they eventually moved to the current headquarters in Irving, Texas, with sister companies including T.J. Maxx, Sierra trading Post and Marshall’s.

As for global locations, the company is mostly located in the United States, but they also have some locations in Canada and throughout Europe. The parent company operates a similar home furnishing chain called HomeSense they can be found around the world. Many of the stores are from across the United States, but there are also some in Europe and in Canada as well. The company reported $19.39 billion in revenue as of the last fiscal year with revenue per share at hundred and $38.18.
