Many experts predict that this acquisition is the basis Amazon will use to begin competing with brick-and-mortar retailers like Walmart.

Amazon has operations in sixteen countries in addition to the United States and employees in all of those countries. Each of them has their own retail site separate from the US one. At the end of the second quarter ending June 29, 2018, with 208.1 billion. Amazon plans to launch a brand-new headquarters, HQ2, which will add more than 50,000 new employees to the Amazon workforce.
