Panda Restaurant Group is a well-known group of restaurants that operates quick serve Chinese restaurants like the Panda Express, Panda Inn, and Hibachi-San restaurants throughout the United States. They are available in most major US cities, but their headquarters are in Rosemead, California. It is estimated that the number of employees working at Panda Restaurant Group totals at over 30,000 employees, and positions range from cooks, servers, buffet re-stockers, busboys and restaurant managers. The Panda Restaurant Group was founded in 1973 by Andrew Cherng. The family invested their personal wealth into different restaurant groups and offices out of what is called the Cherng family trust. Because of this, it is a private company.
The Panda Restaurant Group is available mostly throughout the United States, although they do have a number of locations within Puerto Rico and a few in Mexico. As of last count, they had over 2000 locations with an estimated total income of the 2017 fiscal year of $3.0 billion.
